We are dead chuffed with the look of our new driveway, made all the better by having all of the trees and shrubs in. Thank you for an excellent job done, and all completed by Christmas too!

We moved from London, never before owning a garden. It was great dealing with David; he understood our brief and offered suggestions and design which considered our needs and reflected the contemporary design of our property. We've been working with David for three years now, having recently brought them with us to our new house. Arlo and Bloom carried out an incredible makeover of our front garden. Before, it was a rectangular area of lawn with some rather bland borders on three sides containing an unplanned mix of shrubs, alpines and weeds. We wanted an eye-catching, interesting and low maintenance garden without a lawn. David listened to our views and sensitively gave us some suggestions we had not thought about. He was very adaptable and patient throughout the design stage, which gave us great confidence. We settled on a Mediterranean style gravel garden.

David and his partner managed the delivery of materials very efficiently and worked hard to get the job done within just a few days during the Autumn. It has been a joy this Spring and Summer to see the plants flourish! Every day we see something new and interesting and, being a front garden, we have had many compliments from passers-by. We are so impressed with it that we have even entered it in our local parish 'best front garden' competition!

My back garden had been very neglected as the previous owners had a dog and were clearly not keen gardeners so it was badly in need of a make-over. I wanted something that would be low maintenance but colourful and interesting. I could not afford to have the whole garden done in one go so Dave spent year 1 working on a new decking area at the end of the garden, together with a lavender lined slate path and rose arch. Year 2 he replaced the lawn with a pebble pathway and 4 raised borders filled with a wonderful selection of plants. I only had very vague ideas of what I wanted but Dave managed to translate and add to those ideas and turn the garden into one that exceeded my expectation, and he is a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

David is a fantastic gardener. Attention to detail, unique ideas. He literally reads my mind sometimes with what I want, it's amazing. I have already recommended him to 3 of my friends. He has also worked on 4 of my family members gardens in Berkhamsted so I think those numbers speak for themselves!

He very reliable and can be left to his own devices as he always has great ideas of where to take the garden to and what will look good etc. I am an Interior Designer and we work well together - he seems to know how to bring my vague ideas to life if that makes sense. Which is great as I don't know the first thing about gardening but he always understood what look I was trying to achieve.
